The Board is responsible for the strategic direction, accountability of the organisation, as well as risk management, quality and performance monitoring.
Board Members are expected to challenge and contribute to the development of the organisation and ensure financial controls and governance systems are robust, transparent and compliant with regulation.
We are specifically recruiting for a Board Member with experience in the health and social care sector with equality and diversity of thought being absolutely important.
Palliative care is delivered by a wide range of clinicians and healthcare professionals of many different disciplines as well as carers in our communities and knowledge and insight into this allows the specialist roles played by the hospice team to be of maximal benefit to patients and healthcare partners from all sectors throughout the county The experience and insight gained through this volunteer Board member position will also be beneficial and enrich your day to day role.
